A relocated poll for the recall elections in Darling’s district.

I spoke with neighbors, they didn’t know where to vote ‘it used to be at the school’ which was in the center of the low income housing projects.
The library, a few miles away, gave us the updated info, we had a car and phone to help us.
Here is the only official sign indicating a polling place that faced oncoming traffic for both sides!
The road was 4 lanes divided by a boulevard.
(There was another sign, parallel to the road, that could only be read by folks entering the driveway).
At about 50 feet away I took this photo.
What I experienced when I drove by was only being able to read the bottom half of the sign, which said ‘enter here’. It wasn’t until I parked and walked close to the sign that I could actually read the top line of the sign that said: ‘attention voters’
The posted speed limit: 40 MPH
Most cars were going 50 mph: they were coming from a blind spot over a bridge and down a hill.
You couldn’t even see the sign when cars were parked in front (which several were until 6:55 pm).
Did I mention that the new polling place was a police academy? In a state that incarcerates African Americans at a higher rate than any other state I wondered how the mostly black voters felt going into a building that was surrounded by police cars after several pedestrians declined the chance to vote stating ’I ain’t going in there’.
